As a wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of capturing love stories at various venues, but Quantock Lakes Wedding Venue in Nether Stowey stands out as one of the most spectacular locations I've ever worked at. It's a stunning venue that offers a picturesque backdrop for weddings, and the facilities are second to none.
Quantock Lakes Wedding Venue was once a dairy farm that spanned over 200 acres of beautiful Somerset countryside. The land was purchased by the current owners in 2009, and they have transformed it into a luxurious wedding venue while retaining its natural charm. The venue has undergone extensive renovations, including the construction of a beautiful wedding barn that can seat up to 200 guests.
The venue is nestled at the foot of the Quantock Hills, which was England's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The hills offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and are a popular spot for walking and cycling.
Quantock Lakes Wedding Venue has everything you need for a perfect wedding day. The barn is a magnificent space that's been designed to make your day unforgettable. It has beautiful oak beams.
There's also a luxurious bridal suite situated in the Farmhouse on site, where the bride and her party can get ready for the big day. The suite has a private bathroom, Suna and Jacuzzi just off the getting ready area of the Farmhouse, it has a lounge area, a huge kitchen and and plenty of space for getting ready and you’ll whole family to be their the night before. The groom and his party can use the village, which has a pool table and a bar.
The venue also has a beautiful lake, which makes for some stunning wedding photographs. There's a wooden jetty that extends out over the water, which is a perfect spot for some romantic couple shots.

The venue's location is also a huge plus. It's set in the heart of the Somerset countryside, which provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor photographs. The Quantock Hills offer some of the most spectacular views in the area, and they're a perfect spot for some romantic couple shots if couples want to travel off site, but all in all the venue has everything and it’s not required to get amazing photos.
Quantock Lakes Wedding Venue is a truly magical place that offers everything you need for the perfect wedding day. The venue is stunning, and the facilities are second to none and the staff are incredible. The team at Quantock Lakes, led by the wonderful Nadine, are incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the day. Nadine, the wedding organiser, was an absolute star. She is attentive, friendly, and ensures that everything runs smoothly for couples, which allows me to focus on capturing the special moments of the day.
