St. Audries Park Wedding Photography
As a wedding photographer covering Somerset, Bath, Bristol and the wider South West, St Audries Park is one of my favourite venues to photograph. With its beautiful Orangery, stunning grounds and views across the Quantock Hills, it offers everything you need for a relaxed and beautifully flowing wedding day.
Over the last 11 years I've photographed more than 500 weddings, and St Audries Park is one of those venues that consistently delivers incredible moments and natural wedding photography.
A Real Wedding at St Audries Park
One of the reasons I enjoy photographing weddings at St Audries Park so much is that every wedding feels completely different despite taking place at the same venue.
I've photographed elegant spring weddings in the Orangery, traditional celebrations with military uniforms and string quartets, as well as cosy winter weddings surrounded by Christmas decorations and candlelight. The venue has a rare ability to adapt to different styles while still feeling unmistakably like St Audries Park.
One wedding that perfectly showcased the venue was Ria and Arran's winter wedding. The couple chose St Audries Park because of the contrast between the bright Orangery and the darker, more atmospheric spaces within the main house and Great Hall. The huge Christmas tree, beautiful interiors and deer roaming the estate gave the entire day a warm and festive atmosphere.
Their ceremony took place in the Orangery, taking full advantage of the beautiful natural light that makes the space so popular with couples. Afterwards, guests moved seamlessly through the venue for drinks, portraits and celebrations, without ever needing to leave the estate.
Another memorable wedding was Vakarė and Daniel's elegant spring celebration. With a string quartet, military uniforms, handfasting ceremony and family traditions woven throughout the day, the venue provided the perfect setting for a wedding that felt both timeless and deeply personal.
What these weddings had in common wasn't their style, but the way St Audries Park allowed the day to flow naturally. From preparations through to the evening celebrations, everything happens within walking distance, creating a relaxed experience for couples and guests alike.
From a photography perspective, that's a huge advantage. The Orangery provides beautiful natural light for ceremonies, the grounds offer plenty of space for relaxed couple portraits and the historic interiors create stunning backdrops throughout the year. Whether it's a bright spring afternoon or a cosy winter wedding, St Audries Park consistently provides incredible opportunities for natural, timeless wedding photography.

Weddings at St Audries Park are usually centred around the Orangery, which gets loads of natural light and works really well for ceremonies without feeling too formal. Outside, you’ve got the gardens and views across the Quantock Hills, which give you loads of space without it feeling like you need to disappear for ages to get photos done. From a photography point of view, it’s one of those venues where you don’t need to go searching for anything. People spread out, conversations happen naturally, and the day has a good pace to it.
THE WAY I SHOOT AT ST AUDRIES PARK
I’m not here to turn your wedding into a photoshoot. At a venue like St Audries Park, that matters even more. It already has enough going on without needing loads of direction layered on top. I shoot what’s in front of me, as it happens. The in between moments, the reactions, the bits you didn’t plan. That’s what actually feels real when you look back on it. If we do step away for a few minutes, it’s quick and relaxed, just using what’s already there rather than trying to create something that doesn’t fit.
