My Style of wedding Films

As a wedding filmmaker, my approach to capturing a couple's big day is always to strike a balance between cinematic and documentary styles. This balance allows me to create a film that is not only visually stunning, but also emotionally powerful and authentic.

“Cinematic style” is all about creating a sense of drama, romance and beauty in the film. This is why with every wedding film you also get a black and white version. Because for me this adds to the romance and beauty of what I create.

My “Cinematic Style” is achieved through the use of creative camera angles & still camera positions, It's about capturing the essence of the day in a way that's both visually striking and emotionally impactful without distractions like moving the camera too much. For me it’s all about what in frame appose to the frame itself.

On the other hand, documentary style is all about capturing the real and raw emotions of the day in a more natural way. This is achieved through the use of natural lighting, real sound and candid moments. It's about capturing the genuine emotions of the day without trying to stage or manipulate the scene.By striking a balance between these two styles, I am able to create a wedding film that tells the story of the day in a way that is both visually beautiful and emotionally authentic.

Having a couple section during the wedding day is essential also to

ensure that all these narrative elements are drawn together cohesively. They are the accents of the film. My films are not just about capturing the events of the day, but also the emotions and feelings that come along with it. All these elements are important to create the style I provide.

One of the key elements that I incorporate into my films is vocal audio, particularly the speeches and ceremony. The speeches and ceremony are often the most emotional and personal parts of a wedding, and the audio from these moments can add a whole new level of depth and emotion to the film compared to music led wedding videos that in my opinion do not capture the story as well. The vocal audio is important to create a truly immersive and emotional experience for the viewer.

In addition, I often also pay attention to the audio of the ambient sound during the wedding, the sound of laughter, music, and nature is also important to make the film more realistic and authentic, it can also help to create a sense of place and atmosphere in the film.

Furthermore, I also like to use a classical music in minor keys in my films to create a sense of atmosphere and emotion. Music can be a powerful tool in creating a sense of drama and romance in a film, and this is where my wedding films have become increasingly distinctive. In most cases you will be able to tell it was me who created the film. Natural sound can be used to create a sense of realism and authenticity.

Being a photographer gives me an upper hand in creating wedding films, as it allows me to bring my knowledge of composition and light to the medium of video. In photography, composition refers to the way the elements in an image are arranged, while light refers to the way light is used to illuminate the scene.

As a photographer, I have spent years learning and practicing the art of composition and light, which enables me to create visually stunning images. This same knowledge is transferable to video and allows me to create films that are not only visually pleasing but also emotionally powerful.

When filming, I pay attention to the composition of the scene and make sure that the elements in the frame are arranged in a way that is visually pleasing and tells the story of the day. I also pay attention to the way light is falling on the scene and make sure that the lighting is used to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the film.

Furthermore, my knowledge of light also allows me to shoot in a variety of lighting conditions, whether it's bright sunlight or low light conditions, I am able to adapt and create visually stunning footage. This gives me the ability to create films that are not only beautiful but also unique.

my background as a photographer gives me an upper hand in creating wedding films. My knowledge of composition and light allows me to create visually stunning and emotionally powerful films that tell the story of a couple's big day in a unique and beautiful way.

These elements help define the type of couples who are attracted to my wedding films, but also helps define my own distinct and discerning look. My approach to wedding filmmaking is to strike a balance between cinematic and documentary styles. By incorporating vocal audio, particularly from the speeches and ceremony, I am able to create films that are not only visually stunning, but also emotionally powerful and authentic.
