FAQ
How does the booking fee work?
A booking fee secures your wedding date in my diary and forms part of your overall package price. For all main wedding photography collections, the booking fee is £400, with the remaining balance due 12 weeks before your wedding. My Elope collection requires a £200 booking fee.
Once your booking fee has been paid and your booking paperwork completed, your date is exclusively reserved for you and no other enquiries will be accepted for that day.
Is the booking fee included in the package price?
Yes. The booking fee is included within the package price shown and is not an additional charge. It simply acts as the initial payment required to secure your wedding date.
How much does a wedding photographer cost?
Wedding photography prices can vary depending on the amount of coverage you need and the experience of the photographer. My collections start from £650 for elopements and £2100 for full wedding day coverage, Every collection includes professionally edited images, an online gallery and support throughout the planning process.
How many hours of wedding photography do I need?
Most couples find that10 hours of wedding photography comfortably covers everything from preparations through to the start of the evening celebrations. If you’re planning a shorter wedding day please get in touch. My Elope option may be a better fit for registry offices. I’m always happy to help you work out how much coverage you’ll need based on your plans.
Do you photograph weddings outside Somerset?
Yes. While I’m based near Bath and regularly photograph weddings across Bath, Bristol and Somerset, I also cover the wider South West, the Cotswolds and destinations throughout the UK and Europe. Whether you’re getting married at Farleigh House, Priston Mill, Tortworth Court or somewhere much further afield, I’d love to hear about your plans.
When do we receive our wedding photographs?
You’ll receive a selection of preview images within 24 hours of your wedding through my “Happy One Day Married” service. Full galleries are typically delivered within 4 to 6 weeks, although this can vary depending on the time of year. Every image is individually edited to ensure your final gallery looks its very best.
Do you offer wedding videography?
Yes. Alongside photography, I offer hybrid photography and video coverage, solo shooting and capturing both photographs and a beautiful highlights film throughout the day. This is a popular option for couples who would love both photography and video coverage without the need for a larger team.
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is best described as documentary wedding photography. Rather than staging moments throughout the day, I focus on capturing genuine emotions, interactions and all the little moments that make your wedding unique. The result is a collection of natural photographs that feel authentic to your day, rather than a series of posed images.
Do we need to be good in front of a camera?
Absolutely not. Most of my couples tell me they feel awkward having their photograph taken. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, helping you feel comfortable rather than self conscious. I’ll guide you when needed, but for most of the day you’ll simply be enjoying your wedding while I capture what naturally unfolds.
How many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve photographed more than 500 weddings over the last 11 years. Almost 600! That experience allows me to anticipate moments before they happen, adapt to changing situations and help couples feel relaxed knowing they’re in safe hands throughout the day.
Do you work at the same wedding venues regularly?
Yes. I regularly photograph weddings throughout Bath, Bristol, Somerset and the South West, including venues such as The Guildhall, Priston Mill, Coombe Lodge, Old Gore, Orchardleigh House, Tortworth Court and St Audries Park. While venue experience is helpful, my focus is always on the people and atmosphere that make each wedding unique.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
Most couples book between 12 and 24 months before their wedding, particularly for popular spring and summer dates. Saturdays during peak wedding season often book first, so it’s always worth checking availability as soon as you have secured your venue.
Why do couples choose me as their wedding photographer?
Many of my couples tell me they choose me because they want natural photographs without feeling like they’re spending their wedding day in front of a camera. They value a relaxed experience, honest storytelling and photographs that still feel timeless years after the wedding has finished.
Do you photograph small weddings and elopements?
Yes. Alongside full wedding day coverage, I also photograph intimate weddings and elopements in Bath, Bristol, Somerset and the surrounding areas. My Elope package is designed specifically for couples planning a smaller celebration while still wanting beautiful professional photographs.
Will you help with planning our photography timeline?
Absolutely. Around a month before your wedding I’ll send over a schedule form, and in the week leading up to the wedding we’ll have a video call to run through everything together. This helps ensure the day flows smoothly and that you have enough time for everything that’s important to you.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
The weather rarely affects great wedding photographs. After photographing more than 500 weddings, I’ve worked in every type of weather imaginable. Whether it’s sunshine, wind or rain, I’ll adapt and make sure you still receive a beautiful collection of images that tell the story of your day.
I photograph weddings throughout Bath, Bristol, Somerset and the South West, including venues such as Farleigh House, Priston Mill, Coombe Lodge, Old Gore, Orchardleigh House, Tortworth Court, St Audries Park and many more.
