There’s also a real emphasis on food here. Ivy Lodge serves feasting style food cooked over open flames, including Asado cooking, BBQs and rotisseries, which fits the relaxed feel of the venue brilliantly.

For me, the big appeal of an Ivy Lodge wedding is the variety.

I photograph weddings predominantly as they happen, rather than constantly stopping the day to create photographs.
At a venue like Ivy Lodge, that works particularly well. Drinks outside, hugs in the courtyard, people wandering between spaces, the chaos around the bar, speeches, dancing and everything happening between the obvious moments are normally where some of my favourite photographs come from. For portraits, I’d normally disappear with you for ten or fifteen minutes rather than turning it into a full blown photoshoot. Cirencester Park gives us plenty of space to create something beautiful quickly, then get you straight back to the party.
